Privacy statement Bienahana
When you come into contact with Bienahana, it is likely that your personal data will be collected — for example when you have a treatment or buy products. I do this to serve you better. However, I find it very important that you have a clear picture of which data I keep, what I do with it and who can see it. That is why below you will find, for every situation in which data is collected, exactly what happens to it. You can also read how to have your data deleted. That way you know exactly where you stand.
Treatments
When you have a treatment at Bienahana, I also record some data. This is registered in a client file. This file contains your name, address, phone number, date of birth and email address, unless you do not wish to share that information. It also contains the skin analysis and any health data, and which treatment you had and when. Before/after photos may also be taken to monitor the progress of the treatment. These are only shared with third parties with your consent. If you no longer use my services, you can always ask in writing / by email for this data to be destroyed.
Product purchases
In the salon you are free to make purchases anonymously. I do, however, note which products you take and when. This is registered in a client file. This file contains your name, address, phone number, date of birth and email address. If you no longer use my services, you can always ask in writing / by email for this data to be destroyed.
Newsletter subscriptions
A few times a year I send a newsletter. For this I only ask for your email address, so I can send you the newsletter. If you no longer want to receive emails from me, you can reply with the text "Please remove my email address from the file". The newsletters only contain information about the products and services — I will never bother you with anything not directly related to them.
Call-back requests
If you call or message me and I promise to get back to you, I only note your name and phone number. This also applies if you leave a voicemail. Your phone number and name are then stored in my phone contacts.
Social media
Bienahana is active on Facebook and Instagram. If you contact me in any way, I may gain insight into your data — this depends on your privacy settings for those services. I do not actively collect data through these services; you are always in control of which data is visible to me. For more information, see the privacy settings of the services concerned.
Online appointments
When you book an appointment through the website, I ask for your name, phone number and email address, and optionally a note. For a massage at your home I also ask for the address. With this data I put your appointment in my calendar and send you a confirmation by email. My calendar is a Google Calendar: your appointment is therefore stored with Google, which stores the data for me only. Google may also process data outside the European Union, under the European arrangements for this (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). I only use your data for your appointment, and to contact you if it needs to be moved.
Duo massage with House of Peace
I give a duo massage together with John Roque of House of Peace massage (company number BE1018.895.423). When you book a duo massage, I share your name, your contact details, and the time and place of the appointment with him, solely to carry out the massage together.
Contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, your name, phone number, email address and message reach me as an email. I only use them to reply to you.
Protection against spam
To prevent misuse of the contact form and the online calendar, the website keeps an unreadable version of your IP address. It is deleted automatically: after one hour for the contact form and after 24 hours for the calendar.
Website
This website does not use cookies or advertising services. To know how the site is used, it counts visits: which page, on which day, in which language, through what kind of website you arrived (for example Google or Instagram) and whether you use a phone, tablet or computer. No IP address or other personal data is kept. The gallery page shows Bienahana’s latest Instagram posts. Those photos are loaded from the servers of Behold, the service that fetches the posts for the website. Behold receives your IP address in the process.
Your rights
You can always ask which data I keep about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Just send an email or a message. If you are not satisfied with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Retention periods
Bienahana processes and keeps your personal data until you ask for it to be deleted. The personal data is then destroyed.
